My Sister Is Acting Strange.

Chapter 2: The Bloody System

”Get up, sis, breakfast is ready.” Tang Huaijin knocked on Tang Yaoyao’s door.

”Sleep a little longer, there are no classes on the weekend.” Tang Yaoyao’s somewhat lazy voice came from inside the door.

”This is the third time I’ve called you. I have a part-time job to do, and I’m going to be late,” Tang Huaijin replied irritably.

”Then come in.” It sounded like my sister’s laughter came from inside the door.

Tang Huaijin pushed the door open and, after seeing the situation inside, immediately turned around, his back slightly bent, and angrily said, “Tang Yaoyao! Can’t you treat your little brother like a normal man?! Put it on!”

Tang Yaoyao covered her mouth and giggled, looking at Tang Huaijin’s lower body. Her charming eyes curved into smiles as she gently pulled up her shoulder strap to cover her alluring skin. “Help! You’re being a pervert!”

”If you’re not going to eat, then forget it.” Tang Huaijin was a little embarrassed and opened the door to leave.

Tang Yaoyao, disheveled, laughed heartily in the back.

”Hey, wait for me.”

…

Tang Huaijin was clearly in a bad mood after being teased all morning, and with no seats available on the bus, his face turned sour.

But recalling her sister’s tearful face after being punished by being made to stay and wash the dishes, Tang Huaijin couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

This drew a sidelong glance from the old man next to him, who wondered whether he should give his seat to this mentally unstable young man.

Tang Huaijin worked part-time at a bookstore. The owner was a somewhat overweight, balding middle-aged man with an irregular sleep schedule, usually waking up in the afternoon.

The advantage of working part-time at a bookstore is that you can read books at will. Tang Huaijin doesn’t really have any real hobbies. He’s enthusiastic about doing anything that can make money. The only hobby that isn’t driven by utilitarian motives is probably reading.

The bookstore was not crowded in the morning, so Tang Huaijin was happy to have some peace and quiet and sat in a chair reading quietly.

It was “The Moon and Sixpence,” a book he had read several times; Tang Huaijin really liked it.

He really wants sixpence right now.

bite.

The phone rang.

It was the wind chimes at the door that rang.

A guest arrived—a girl wearing a plaid pleated skirt, a white sweater paired with a gray blazer, classic GM sunglasses, slightly upturned rosy lips, and carrying the latest Chanel mini bag.

”Hello, welcome. Please feel free to call me if you need any help,” Tang Huaijin said with a smile.

The girl’s face was expressionless behind her sunglasses, and she ignored Tang Huaijin, browsing around the store on her own.

Tang Huaijin opened her phone and found that it was a message from her best friend from junior high school, Liu Weihan.

Let him download an app to help him out and cut his losses a couple of times.

Sending this to a group usually annoys people, so it’s only good to send to a few close friends. Tang Huaijin cursed at him and then clicked download.

”Hey, do you have any of that… you know…” the girl asked hesitantly.

Who called “hello”?

Although he was offended, Tang Huaijin didn’t intend to hold a grudge. With a formulaic smile on his face, he asked, “What do you need?”

”Is there…the kind of thing between girls?” The girl turned her head to the side, her tone a little unnatural, with a barely perceptible blush on her fair neck.

Tang Huaijin paused for a moment, then quickly realized what he meant and said with a smile, “Oh, the lily novels are on the bottom shelf at the far north end. There are relatively few of those.”

Just then, Tang Huaijin’s phone, which should have been off, suddenly emitted an indescribable sound between a man and a woman.

“Da Mian, Ya Bai, Ha Ya Ku”.

The sound was extremely loud.

Both of them were stunned. Tang Huaijin unlocked the screen and found that it was the program sent by Liu Weihan that was causing the trouble. Tang Huaijin had heard of this kind of thing before, but he didn’t expect to fall for it this time.

The program cannot be closed, and it also displays animated GIFs.

That bastard…

Tang Huaijin casually turned off his phone, glanced at the young girl who was looking in their direction, coughed lightly, and asked, “Do you want to buy a book?”

Well… as long as I don’t feel awkward, it’s others who feel awkward.

”Pervert.” The girl glanced at Tang Huaijin with utter contempt before turning to choose a book.

Grass!

If he weren’t wearing shoes, Tang Huaijin’s toes would have dug a three-bedroom, two-living-room structure out of his feet.

Tang Huaijin, who was so shocked by the incident, didn’t dare to turn on the camera immediately.

They’re already a pervert; if they do it again, they’ll become an incorrigible pervert.

”These are the few books.” Several books were placed heavily on the table. The girl wearing sunglasses made her selection quickly and stood a little far away, afraid of being tainted by Tang Huaijin’s aura.

Tang Huaijin glanced at it a few times, “Eighty, stack them on the right wall.”

”Can’t I pay with cash?” The girl took out a hundred-yuan bill and placed it on the table.

”Okay.” Tang Huaijin put the money away and opened the counter to give her change.

”No need to look anymore.” The girl glanced at Tang Huaijin’s outstretched hand, then dodged to the side as if disgusted, hurriedly packed her books, and turned to leave.

”Thank you for your patronage.” Tang Huaijin smiled helplessly and sat down.

What kind of situation is this…?

Seeing that no one was in the store, Tang Huaijin restarted his phone. When the phone remained silent, he opened WeChat and had a friendly chat with Liu Weihan.

After a segment of crosstalk with Chinese characteristics.

”Is this thing infected with a virus?” Tang Huaijin asked, fiddling with his phone.

”How could that be? It’s just a prank app, like some junk software. Just delete it. I fell for it too.”

”So you just sent it to me? I’m speechless.”

”Haha, you didn’t open it in a public place, did you?”

”How could that be? I opened it in my own room.” Tang Huaijin couldn’t possibly admit that he had just died.

”Oh, what a coincidence, me too, thank goodness.” Liu Weihan replied without missing a beat.

”Get lost.”

After a friendly conversation with his friend, Tang Huaijin reluctantly closed WeChat.

After checking, I found that it really didn’t have any impact, and the phone didn’t become any slower. It was probably just a prank app.

It just adds a bunch of useless rogue software, like 6789 Browser and Yinshan Antivirus.

Tang Huaijin deleted them one by one.

Huh, why can’t I delete this?

This rogue software has no name, yet it stands firmly in the center of the screen.

The icon is a moon symbol on a black background.

Tang Huaijin clicked on it, and a line of white text on a black background appeared in the middle of the screen.

Would you like to experience a different life?

【whether】

This feels like something out of a melodramatic soap opera…

While complaining, Tang Huaijin decisively clicked “no”.

Although I don’t have much money, I’m quite happy with my life, and I have my sister with me. What’s the point of experiencing a different life?

Just as Tang Huaijin’s finger was about to touch “no,” the order of the two options was reversed.

The options were different colors, and Tang Huaijin noticed that the options had been swapped, but it was too late; his finger was already on the “Yes” option.

With a “whoosh”.

…That’s the sound of the phone’s CPU burning out.

Looking at the smoking phone, Tang Huaijin was filled with grief.

How long would it take to earn that back?

You piece of trash! Even more despicable software is worse than you!

Before this, the worst software Tang Huaijin had ever seen was one that changed the “no” option to a conspicuous green color in the uninstallation process.

This won’t harm Tang Huaijin.

This software has once again refreshed Tang Huaijin’s understanding.

Before he could even curse the damn virus and Liu Weihan, a string of words suddenly appeared in the air before his eyes:

”Welcome to the Perfect Life System”

”This system will guide the host toward a perfect life.”

…

Tang Huaijin: “…”

Tang Huaijin: “?”

Just as Tang Huaijin’s brain went blank, another message with a blue border popped up in the system.

”Unexpected task: Help the mobile phone shop owner get off the stage.”

”Mission Reward: Brand New Mobile Phone”

”Failure penalty: None”

Please decide whether to accept within 3 minutes.

What the hell is this…?

system?

Me? The chosen one?

After spending 2 minutes and 59 seconds processing the message, Tang Huaijin still clicked “accept”.

It’s not mainly about whether or not he has a phone; Tang Huaijin is a helpful person.

After accepting the assignment, the location of the mission appeared in my mind.

He recognized the location; it was not far from this street, and promotional events were often held there.

Just then, the bald uncle came to relieve him, so Tang Huaijin left the bookstore.

Upon arriving at the mission location, the mobile phone store was also holding a promotional event, with a small stage set up and banners hanging on it.

”A special lucky draw event to thank new and old users during the 10th anniversary promotion season.”

The lottery attracted a lot of customers, and the shop owner, dressed in a suit, was on stage with a microphone, hawking his wares.

Seeing the boss’s enthusiastic manner, Tang Huaijin hesitated. The boss didn’t seem to need any help…

Tang Huaijin squeezed to the front of the crowd, ready to get a closer look at the boss.

Just as he squeezed to the front of the stage, the makeshift stage began to creak and groan.

Tang Huaijin’s pupils contracted. Before he could explain to his boss, he grabbed the boss’s leg, who was still lecturing on stage, and pulled him off the stage.

The boss was caught off guard and fell flat on his backside. Just as he was about to start cursing, he heard a loud bang from the stage behind him.

He looked back and saw that the stage had collapsed, the steel structure underneath was broken, and sharp steel plates were piercing through the curtain.

If Tang Huaijin hadn’t helped him up, his fate would probably have been no different from the curtain’s.

The boss was so frightened that he shivered, and when he looked back at Tang Huaijin, he was filled with gratitude.

…

After accepting his boss’s grateful gift, Tang Huaijin, holding the brand-new pear-shaped phone, sat on the familiar No. 2 bus and began to question his life.

Ignoring the 40-year-old woman next to her who was grumbling and hinting that she should give up her seat, Tang Huaijin’s eyes were somewhat vacant.

So that’s how the mission rewards are obtained…

Like, like a dream.
