Chapter 1: Iron Scumbag
Chengnan High School.
After having lunch in the cafeteria, Tang Huaijin had plenty of time before afternoon classes, enough for him to leisurely stroll over.
It was windy and rainy today. It’s already getting a bit chilly since autumn arrived. Tang Huaijin zipped up his school uniform jacket. Leaving it open wouldn’t make you look any cooler, but catching a cold would be a real hassle.
As Tang Huaijin walked, a girl ran towards him, glancing back every now and then with a smile on her face, seemingly playfully interacting with her friends who were chasing after her.
”This kind of melodramatic scene where two people collide only happens in novels,” Tang Huaijin thought to himself, as he moved to the side to make way for the girl.
Perhaps because she was running too fast, or because the ground was still slightly damp, the girl dramatically fell to the ground next to Tang Huaijin.
She looked like she had fallen hard; the girl was bracing herself with her hands on the ground, her face showing a slightly painful expression, and she couldn’t get up even after trying.
Poor child.
Tang Huaijin reached out to her and helped the girl up.
”Thank you.” The girl thanked him shyly, rubbing her sore wrist, and looked at Tang Huaijin with a slightly curious gaze.
The boy in front of me had long hair that hung down from his head, covering his eyes. His skin was very white, and he looked somewhat sinister.
”It’s nothing,” Tang Huaijin said.
The girl wanted to say something more, but was quickly pulled back by her friend who was chasing after her.
Tang Huaijin seemed not to notice, waved his hand, and turned to leave.
”How did you run into him?” The girl’s friend looked at Tang Huaijin’s back with undisguised disgust.
”Sister Fei, do you know him?”
”He was a classmate in the first year of high school. After the class was divided, he chose science. He was a complete scumbag.”
”Huh? What? What?”
…
Sigh… I haven’t gone far yet.
Gossip is indeed human nature.
The sound of two girls talking behind him reached Tang Huaijin’s ears, leaving him speechless.
It didn’t really matter to him, because he had nothing to regret.
Thinking this, he quickened his pace.
When I entered my classroom, there weren’t many people there. Most of the students who came so early were good students, and they were all sitting quietly in their seats.
A beautiful figure walked into the classroom, making Tang Huaijin look up briefly before quickly looking down again.
Tang Huaijin listened attentively to the lectures throughout the afternoon.
In fact, Tang Huaijin wasn’t particularly fond of studying, but he was still willing to do things that involved long-term investment in himself.
A degree doesn’t guarantee success, but for someone like him, without connections or resources, it’s utterly foolish to pin his hopes on those toxic motivational quotes online about top students from 985/211 universities working for people who didn’t even finish high school.
”Lin Ruoxi, 136 points.” It was a math class, and the math teacher was reading out the test scores.
Tang Huaijin looked up and watched the figure with a ponytail walk towards the podium.
”You’ve made great progress,” the somewhat balding math teacher said gently, offering encouragement.
”Thank you, teacher.” Lin Ruoxi’s voice was somewhat cold.
”Tang Huaijin, full marks,” the math teacher nodded and continued reading.
Lin Ruoxi, who had just received the test paper, paused as she walked toward her seat and moved to the side.
Tang Huaijin also stood up in response and walked towards the podium.
Lin Ruoxi only walked back after Tang Huaijin had passed through the narrow path between the desks.
Throughout the entire process, the two did not exchange a single glance, as if they could not see each other.
The math teacher looked at Tang Huaijin with satisfaction and said gently, “Keep it up.”
”Thank you, teacher.” Tang Huaijin smiled and took the test paper.
After the test papers were handed out, it was time to leave school.
Tang Huaijin packed his things at a leisurely pace. By the time he finished, most of the students had already left. He looked up at that familiar spot one last time, then got up and walked out of the classroom.
…
”I’m back, sister.”
”You’ve worked hard, dinner will be ready soon.” Tang Yaoyao’s gentle voice came from the kitchen.
Tang Huaijin walked towards the kitchen, watching Tang Yaoyao’s busy figure wearing an apron.
Noticing the movement behind her, Tang Yaoyao turned around. Her oval face had a pair of captivating, smiling eyes, like a seductive fox. Her apron was stretched taut by her ample bosom, and the drawstring below the apron revealed her slender waist.
Tang Huaijin couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration every time he saw her, “The beauty in my home is truly enviable!”
Tang Huaijin walked over, hugged Tang Yaoyao, rested his head on his sister’s shoulder, and greedily and contentedly inhaled the fragrance of his sister’s hair, a faint sweet scent of kiwi, the scent of his sister’s favorite shampoo.
”What are you doing? Your sister is cooking.” Tang Yaoyao smiled indulgently and nuzzled Tang Huaijin’s head. “Let’s go out first, it’s not convenient like this.”
”Hold me a little longer, ten seconds, no, thirty seconds.” Tang Huaijin tightened her grip on her sister’s arms.
”What’s wrong?” Noticing that the boy’s mood was a little off, Tang Yaoyao frowned slightly and asked.
”It’s nothing.” Tang Huaijin shook his head and let go of his hand.
”Really?”
”Really?” Tang Huaijin smiled. “I just miss my sister.”
”You clingy bug.” Tang Yaoyao laughed, tapping Tang Huaijin’s head with her slender finger, and said gently, “Go sit down, the food will be ready soon.”
Tang Huaijin went back to her room, changed into her pajamas, and washed her hands. Her sister had already prepared the dishes.
Three dishes and one soup: sweet and sour pork ribs, meatball soup, stir-fried pork with garlic sprouts, and smashed cucumber.
My sister’s cooking skills are impeccable; she makes all the dishes that Tang Huaijin loves.
After the two finished their meal, Tang Huaijin washed the dishes.
Tang Yaoyao lay on the sofa watching TV.
Tang Huaijin poured a glass of water, walked over and sat down. “Don’t lie down right after you finish eating.”
”Little brother, go wash the grapes, okay?” The older sister stretched out her leg and gently stepped on Tang Huaijin with her foot. Her pajama pants were a little short, revealing a section of her fair and smooth calves.
Tang Huaijin held her sister’s fair and plump little feet, her toes like buds, painted with light red nail polish. She played with them in her hands, pinched them, and watched as a blush crept onto her sister’s face before getting up.
His older sister always liked to have Tang Huaijin do these little things, and she would sweetly coax him, and Tang Huaijin would happily run off to do the work.
Both parents are deceased, but he has an older sister and owns a house.
The standard protagonist template.
The older sister is not even a blood relative. Both Tang Huaijin and her sister were children their parents found in Kyoto. According to their parents, after finding five-year-old Tang Yaoyao, Tang Yaoyao kept crying. Then their parents discovered Tang Huaijin, who had been abandoned in a corner.
Therefore, Tang Huaijin’s parents often joked that her life was given to her by her older sister.
The parents had considered finding the two children’s biological parents, but they couldn’t find them. In the end, they had no choice but to adopt the two siblings. For their sake, the parents never had any children of their own.
Faced with the immense kindness of raising and nurturing, the kindness of giving birth seemed insignificant, so the siblings never considered looking for their biological parents.
When my parents were alive, they lived a rather laid-back life. When they had money, the whole family would go on trips. They were the kind of people who couldn’t save money, which resulted in the family having almost no savings after my parents passed away.
Fortunately, my sister was very capable. After graduation, she found a well-paying job that was able to cover Tang Huaijin’s tuition fees.
I took the grapes out of the refrigerator. Grapes are a seasonal fruit in autumn. Although our family is not well-off, my sister is still very generous when it comes to food.
After washing the grapes, Tang Yaoyao brought them over to her sister. She pulled Tang Huaijin to sit down, slowly snuggled into his arms, and rubbed against him like a kitten, leaning comfortably against him. Holding the bowl of grapes, she picked one and offered it to Tang Huaijin’s lips in a pleading manner: “Here.”
Tang Huaijin opened his mouth and ate it; the grape juice burst out in his mouth, fragrant and with a hint of warm sweetness.
A TV drama was playing on the television, and Tang Huaijin was getting a little bored.
Tang Yaoyao seemed to like it very much, and she laughed out loud from time to time, squirming in Tang Huaijin’s arms.
The two snuggled together on the sofa, their bodies in frequent contact. Tang Huaijin’s body language betrayed him, and his mouth was a little dry.
He couldn’t help but pinch his sister’s slender waist and warned, “Don’t move.”
”Oh…” Tang Yaoyao looked aggrieved, her peach blossom eyes brimming with tears, lost in thought.
Tang Yaoyao, now quiet, ate grapes while watching TV intently, and asked seemingly casually, “How are things going between you and Lin Ruoxi?”
Tang Huaijin paused for a moment, then smiled and said, “We broke up. We don’t talk anymore, and he doesn’t even look at me.”
Tang Yaoyao put down the grapes, turned around in Tang Huaijin’s arms, reached out and pinched his chin, looked at him, and said softly, “Ajin, it’s okay, your sister will stay with you. Family will never be separated.”
Tang Huaijin gently hugged her sister and whispered, “Yes, family will never be separated.”
”She broke up with my brother because she wasn’t lucky. Next time, I’ll introduce you to someone better.” Tang Yaoyao stretched, and the small patch of white skin showing on her slender waist made Tang Huaijin unable to look away. She walked lightly towards the room. “Alright, it’s getting late. Go to sleep.”
”Okay, I understand. Goodnight, sister.”
”Good night.”
After her sister closed the door, Tang Huaijin sighed softly, her eyes filled with complex emotions.
Introduce me to one…
If I hadn’t read that diary, I would have believed your lies, sister.
