Looking at the lush greenery, I suddenly felt dizzy and disoriented, and my vision abruptly plunged into darkness.

“Xuanyu~ Xuanyu?” In a hazy state, a familiar call pierced through the noise, gently tapping on my eardrums. The awakening of my hearing also roused my dormant consciousness.

I forced my eyelids open, which seemed to be stuck together, and the scene before me startled me. The blazing sunlight streamed through the high windows of the gymnasium, and the air was filled with the mixed smell of the rubber court and sweat—this was not the room in the Berlin villa, but the basketball court of the school!

I found myself half-lying on a bench by the school basketball court, and the person looking down at me wasn’t Zhao Qingjun, but Jingyan in a pink dress.

“Xuanyu? Xuanyu?” Jingyan waved her hand in front of me.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you still half asleep? Are you too tired from playing basketball?” Jingyan took the towel off my neck and gently wiped the sweat from my forehead. Only then did I look down at myself—I was actually wearing a basketball uniform.

This… isn’t this my basketball uniform?

What happened? How did I get back to school?

“Um… senior…” A voice that made me instinctively feel disgusted came from behind me. I turned my head and saw Zhao Chenyu, wearing a black basketball uniform, sitting not far away from me, carefully keeping his distance.

His gaze shifted between Jingyan and me, and he subtly moved back half a step, his face filled with unease and anxiety.

“Am I asleep?” I didn’t ask Jingyan, but looked directly at Zhao Chenyu.

“Ah…yes! I just walked over and my senior came to call you,” Zhao Chenyu said with an embarrassed smile, as if he had been called out, his smile deliberately “naive”.

Seeing that I didn’t reply and was still confused, he swallowed and continued to smile apologetically, “Um, senior, there’s something I need to discuss with you for a little while.”

What?

Zhao Chenyu came to me to discuss something, wasn’t that several years ago?

Could it be that Aunt Ouyang, Jingyan, Mom, Xuanman, Mu Qianning, and Mu Lingze have all become Zhao Chenyu’s women, and all of this was just a dream I had after falling asleep while playing basketball at the stadium because I was too tired?

“Xuanyu, who is he?” Jingyan asked softly.

“A junior student.” I suppressed the doubts surging in my heart and answered Jingyan softly. Then I turned to face Zhao Chenyu again and said in a cold tone, “What is it? Speak.”

I need to verify if this is a dream.

Upon hearing what I said, Zhao Chenyu’s eyes immediately lit up with excitement, a light so dazzling that it disgusted me.

Sure enough, it was that day…

He nervously rubbed his hands together, leaned forward, and said tremblingly, “I know that you are of noble status, Senior Lin, but… could you please help me find a place to work?”

“roll–”

Without any hesitation, I squeezed out this word through gritted teeth, stood up abruptly, took the hand of the bewildered Jingyan, and left without looking back.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of Zhao Chenyu standing frozen in place, his mouth agape and speechless, looking utterly foolish.

It doesn’t matter.

I held Jingyan’s soft hand tightly, the real touch making my heart surge, and I didn’t want to let go for even a moment.

“Xuanyu! Honestly, you just finished exercising and you’re lying on the chair to sleep. What if you catch a cold?” Jingyan didn’t care about the unfamiliar junior, nor did she care about my rude attitude towards him, as if it was all to be expected.

What’s more, she only has eyes for me.

I chuckled and ruffled her hair, and she clung tightly to my arm, completely unconcerned about the sweat on my body.

When we were almost at the exit.

“Bang! Bang! Bang bang!”

A few bouncing sounds came from afar and grew closer. I turned my head and saw a basketball rolling towards me.

I crouched down, holding the basketball that had rolled to my feet with one hand, and suddenly a thought struck me.

I grabbed the top of the basketball with my outstretched hand and twisted it hard, making the basketball spin rapidly on the ground.

“What’s wrong, Xuanyu?” Jingyan also bent down and watched the spinning basketball with me.

My eyes were fixed intently on the spinning basketball.

It spins and spins.

Spin it around…

change……
