Something's Wrong
Hashimoto Arina did not dodge, but smiled sweetly, like a hundred flowers blooming. She stood up and turned around in front of Shirakawa Natsu.
Her short skirt swayed slightly with her movements, revealing a glimpse of her fair thigh, before she nestled into his arms: “I just realized today that my closet is full of clothes from years ago. I bought them this afternoon specifically for tonight’s date.”
Shirakawa Natsu was stunned. He didn’t expect Hashimoto Arina to be so clingy today. Usually, when the two of them held hands, they would first look around to see if there were any acquaintances. He took the opportunity to pull her into his arms: “Let’s go upstairs. I’ve booked a private room.”
“Let’s eat in the lobby, by the window.” Hashimoto Arina looked up, gazing affectionately at his face: “We can see Tokyo Tower.”
“Okay.” Shirakawa Natsu nodded, asked nothing, took her hand and led her to the hotel’s second-floor restaurant, where they changed to a window seat.
The food at upscale restaurants may not necessarily be delicious, but the ambiance is always excellent.
Shirakawa Natsu felt that half of the money should have been spent on the plating.
“This beef smells delicious.” Shirakawa Natsu picked up a piece of beef and put it in her mouth.
Hashimoto Arina sat opposite him, resting her chin on her hands, looking at him with a smile.
While they claimed they wanted to see Tokyo Tower, their attention was mostly on him.
“Sister, you can eat too.” Shirakawa Natsumi had a bad stomach, so she only ate a few bites and didn’t dare to eat more.
“Hmm.” Hashimoto Arina nodded, picked up a piece of beef and put it in her mouth, then suddenly said, “This seems expensive, I’ll pay later.”
“Hey, Yuzawa-neechan, have you forgotten?” Shirakawa Natsumi pouted, “Don’t underestimate me just because I’m younger than you. I’m much richer than you.”
Hashimoto Arina was taken aback for a moment, then stuck out her tongue: “Sorry, I forgot, my Natsu is the best.”
Shirakawa Natsumi pouted. He knew why Hashimoto Arina suddenly said such a thing, because in her heart, she had always instinctively regarded him as a younger brother who needed to be taken care of.
“So, Sister Yu-Cai, if anything happens, please talk to me.” Shirakawa put down his chopsticks, looked at her and said, “When you said the two of you ran away together last time, I could tell that Sister Yu-Cai had something on her mind.”
A moment of surprise flashed across Hashimoto Arina’s face, but she quickly put on a smile: “I had some work-related worries, but seeing Natsuko cheered me up, and I’ve already forgotten about these little things.”
“Hmm.” Shirakawa Natsu nodded, knowing she was just being perfunctory, but there was no need to dwell on the topic now; he had more important things to do.
The two chatted about other things, and the atmosphere became more relaxed.
After Shirakawa Natsumi finished eating, she took her hand and said, “I’ve booked a room upstairs.”
He needs to have a private space to bring out his diagnosis report today.
Hashimoto Arina was taken aback, then her face turned bright red. She did not resist and was led to the elevator by him.
“Wait.” Hashimoto Arina suddenly grabbed him, looked up at Shirakawa Natsu’s questioning gaze, and said with a blushing face, “Don’t touch your mouth, my throat still hurts.”
Shirakawa Natsu was taken aback, but quickly realized that she might have been hurt a little too deeply after Shirakawa Natsumi fainted last time.
She wanted to explain that she was just giving her information, but she noticed that Hashimoto Arina, who usually acts like an older sister, was acting strangely.
Shirakawa Natsuya also had a mischievous thought. He put his arm around her slender waist, leaned close to her ear, and said, “Where can we do it?”
Hashimoto Arina shyly bumped her head against his chest, covering her chest with her arm, her voice barely audible: “You can use your breasts.”
Shirakawa Natsu was surprised. As expected of a doctor, she didn’t refuse directly when faced with a problem, but instead offered a solution.
Hashimoto Arina’s chest is the type that can be shown in a straightforward manner.
He led Hashimoto Arina to the reserved room. As expected of a high-class restaurant, the atmosphere was immediately apparent as soon as the door opened.
Hashimoto Arina allowed Shirakawa Natsu to hold her hand and sit on the edge of the bed.
The girl next door’s shy demeanor filled the air with a romantic atmosphere.
“Let’s take a shower first.” Hashimoto Arina felt that as the older sister, she should take the initiative. As a doctor, she knew that boys of this age could have all sorts of fantasies just by seeing the McDonald’s logo.
If she lets him do whatever he wants, she can’t predict what absurd things he might do, and when she sees his pitiful eyes, she won’t be able to say no.
“Wait.” Shirakawa Natsu grabbed her hand and, under her surprised gaze, unzipped her backpack to take out the test results.
“No!” Hashimoto Arina was faster than her, pressing down on his hand with a flushed face and urgent tone: “No props allowed.”
“Hmm?” Bai Chuanxia was taken aback at first, then immediately understood what she meant, and looked at her with a half-smile: “Sister Cai, I have a test report in my bag, what did you think it was?”
Hashimoto Arina was taken aback, but her expression quickly turned serious: “I thought it was a drawing tool, and that you were planning to draw here.”
Shirakawa Natsumi nodded: “I’m so happy. It turns out that in Arina’s heart, I am such a person who loves my work.”
“Yes.” Hashimoto Arina nodded affirmatively, tucking her long hair behind her ear with her hand. She quickly realized what Shirakawa Natsu had just mentioned about the examination report and immediately asked, “Natsu, what report did you just say?”
“Sister Yuzuri, monsters do exist in this world.” Shirakawa Natsumi repeated what she had said on her hospital bed yesterday with a serious expression.
Hashimoto Arina paused for a moment, then smiled gently, her face filled with determination and maternal love. She touched Shirakawa Natsu’s cheek and nodded earnestly: “I believe you.”
“Okay, these are my test results from Tokyo Medical University today.” Shirakawa Natsumi took out a stack of test reports and handed them to Hashimoto Arina: “Arina-nee should know more about this than I do.”
Hashimoto Arina looked surprised. She was capable of discerning the truth from falsehood in the report, and if the hospital falsified the information, it would be held legally responsible.
She saw the test data and immediately recognized it as Shirakawa Natsu’s physical data.
Because she had seen it countless times, she so desperately hoped that one day she would see even the slightest improvement in the test results.
The results were always getting worse. Watching her loved ones’ bodies collapse day by day, Hashimoto Arina once resented herself for being able to understand these data. If she couldn’t understand them, would she have a glimmer of hope, a hope for a miracle?
The resentment that was there back then has now turned into gratitude in an instant.
Other organs did not change much, but the heart test results were now at or above normal, even better than those of an average person.
When Shirakawa Natsu displayed powerful masculine abilities that night, she had a slight doubt, but she didn’t dare to think about it too much.
Hashimoto Arina pinched her arm hard with her hand, and a sharp pain shot through her.
Shirakawa Natsu clearly saw the bruises that instantly appeared on her fair skin, and felt a pang of heartache; how badly must the bruises have been?
Hashimoto Arina didn’t seem to care at all; her initial strength seemed to be just a facade, and tears streamed down her face.
In this test report, she saw two words: “hope” and “miracle”.
Hashimoto Arina clung desperately to Shirakawa Natsu, crying and laughing at the same time: “Tell me, is all of this true?”
“Mmm.” Shirakawa Natsu hugged her tightly. “Yes,”
“Waaah! Waaah~” Heartbreaking cries echoed in the room, all the emotions that had been building up inside her were released in tears at that moment.
Downstairs in a room, a couple looked up at the ceiling and muttered, “What are they doing making such a racket? We can hear them all over the place.”
After crying for an unknown amount of time, Hashimoto Arina finally peeked out from his arms and said, “No, come to the hospital with me now, I’ll get you checked out.”
“Sister Cai, calm down. It’s already very late. I can go with you tomorrow. You can do whatever you want with me then.” Bai Chuanxia smiled wryly and gently stroked her back to calm her breathing.
He didn’t expect that Hashimoto Arina would believe the test report so quickly.
I had prepared a bunch of ways to retrieve the letter, and I even had a stethoscope in my backpack, but I didn’t take them out.
But it’s not a complete waste of money; he can use it later. I just don’t know if the thick layer of fat will affect the effect.
The reason why Hashimoto Arina would so easily believe the test report is not only because of her job.
Most importantly, people are willing to believe what they want to believe.
“What exactly is going on?” Hashimoto Arina finally calmed down.
“I once saved a silver fox, and she has returned to repay my kindness.” Shirakawa Natsu thought of the strange tales she had seen a few days ago.
Anyway, there are no monsters in this world, let alone silver foxes, so there’s no need to worry about being exposed by using these excuses.
“Wait.” Hashimoto Arina covered her face with her hands; she needed time to piece together her shattered worldview.
Shirakawa Natsu didn’t speak, watching her expression constantly change. After a long while, she managed to choke out a sentence: “Could you introduce me to the Silver Fox you mentioned?”
She didn’t completely believe it, but she hoped it was true, and it was the only explanation at the moment.
“Yokai cannot easily come into contact with humans.” Shirakawa Natsu continued, “I can’t say any more. Please believe me, Sister Nai, and give me some time. With the help of the Silver Fox, my body can gradually recover.”
“So what is the price?” Hashimoto Arina seemed to be gradually accepting this premise. There is no free lunch in the adult world. If you want to get help, you must pay a price.
Pain and regret instantly flashed across Shirakawa Natsu’s face.
“Natsu, don’t scare me.” Hashimoto Arina’s heart skipped a beat as she thought of the supernatural tales she had come across: “Does it mean we have to sacrifice humans?”
“No.” Shirakawa Natsu knew she would think that way, so she first gave her a hint, making her think of the most terrible consequences, and then said something relatively mild.
He covered his face and said painfully, “She…she asked me to be her boyfriend for two years.”
A bright green question mark appeared above Hashimoto Arina’s head.
This reason was something Shirakawa Natsu came up with after careful consideration. In the past two years, he had been going to meet other women from the Minotaur, and it was impossible to completely hide it from Hashimoto Arina. So he simply attributed it to the Silver Fox, saying that the women he dated were all in human form of that Silver Fox. What a reasonable explanation!
But he made a mistake. The fox demons in the eyes of the people of this world were completely different creatures from the beast-eared girls he knew.
In Arina Hashimoto’s mind, the fox spirit is a fox that can speak human language, and humans interact with foxes.
Thinking back to the masculine abilities he displayed some time ago, it must have been the work of that silver fox.
Why enhance his male capabilities? Of course, it’s for the purpose of using them.
Thinking of the human and the fox, Hashimoto Arina’s expression gradually became subtle, her eyes reddening. She hugged Shirakawa Natsu and said in the gentlest tone, “I’m sorry, I didn’t expect you to have given so much, and I didn’t know anything about it.”
“?” Shirakawa Natsu’s expression also turned into a question mark. I was planning to cheat on you, so why did you forgive me so easily, and even act like I was the one who was wronged? Who is the one with the problem?
