Gu Zhizhou said he was downstairs and wanted Tao Ruan to come down.
Tao Ruan ran to the balcony and looked out; sure enough, Gu Zhizhou was standing there.
The man had such a great physique and outstanding looks that he became a sight to behold simply by standing there, attracting the attention of girls coming and going from the dormitory building. But Gu Zhizhou didn’t look at anyone; he just held his phone and stared intently at the ground.
He said, “Ruan Ruan, I want to see you.”
Tao Ruan softened at that moment.
Gu Zhizhou is so handsome, the school’s undisputed male god. Now he’s saying he wants to see me in such a gentle voice, how could I not soften my heart?
But after thinking about Gu Zhizhou’s actions, she held back.
“I’m not seeing you,” Tao Ruan said, clearly still angry, her voice puffed out with resentment. “And don’t call me Ruan Ruan anymore, aren’t I just your junior?”
Tao Ruan is too obvious.
She was angry because Gu Zhizhou didn’t give her a straight answer that morning, and even called her “junior” and said she was playing truth or dare.
The man downstairs seemed to sense something. He looked up at Tao Ruan’s location, and when their eyes met, Tao Ruan couldn’t help but feel a jolt in her heart.
She quickly retreated, not giving Gu Zhizhou a chance to speak again, and told him, “Anyway, I’m not seeing you.”
Then I hung up the phone.
Gu Zhizhou didn’t call again, but he didn’t leave either. He just waited quietly downstairs at Tao Ruan’s place, without disturbing her.
“Are you still there?” Liao Taotao asked softly.
Gu Xiao sighed, “It’s still there.”
She never expected that Gu Zhizhou would actually pursue Ruan Ruan. When did this happen? Why was she completely unaware of it?
If she could, Tao Ruan would like to stay in her dorm room and not go out, but she couldn’t. She had a professional class at 10 o’clock and couldn’t skip it.
So Tao Ruan gritted her teeth and went out.
As soon as she stepped out, Gu Zhizhou stopped her and asked, “Can I have a minute to explain myself?”
Tao Ruan glared at him, ignored him, and walked past him to class.
Gu Zhizhou didn’t insist and just followed her all the way to Tao Ruan’s classroom.
As soon as they entered, everyone’s eyes were on her and Gu Zhizhou. Tao Ruan didn’t want to be stared at anymore, so she pulled Gu Xiao to sit down in a spot against the wall.
But then Gu Zhizhou followed and said to Gu Xiao, “Excuse me.”
Tao Ruan held Gu Xiao’s hand, not letting her leave. Gu Xiao looked at Tao Ruan, then at Gu Zhizhou, and finally decided to run away and sit with Liao Taotao.
Gu Zhizhou then sat down next to Tao Ruan.
Tao Ruan took out the book and pretended to read it, still ignoring Gu Zhizhou. Gu Zhizhou was not in a hurry and just leaned on his arm to look at her from the side.
The man had a gentle demeanor, yet his aura was undeniably aggressive. Being stared at like that and feeling that intensely aggressive aura, Tao Ruan couldn’t take it anymore.
She softened again, turned to Gu Zhizhou, and asked him with teary eyes, “What exactly do you want?”
Gu Zhizhou reached out and took her small hand in his palm, saying, “I’ll pursue you.”
Tao Ruan tried to struggle but couldn’t break free. When she tried to struggle again, Gu Zhizhou inserted his fingers and teased her palm.
Tao Ruan immediately clamped her legs together as if facing a formidable enemy.
She blushed.
My breathing is out of control.
She didn’t understand why such a simple action made her feel like she had been electrocuted, a tingling, indescribable sensation all over her body.
Tao Ruan glared at Gu Zhizhou again because of that magical feeling, but Gu Zhizhou didn’t mind and responded with a gentle smile.
During class, Gu Zhizhou let go of Tao Ruan’s hand. He didn’t do anything else during class and listened attentively with Tao Ruan. During the break, when Tao Ruan had questions, Gu Zhizhou patiently explained them to her.
Tao Ruan asked in confusion, “Do you science students understand the questions we humanities students have?”
Gu Zhizhou gently patted her head, his smile tender and gentle: “I know more than just this. Would you like to learn more?”
Tao Ruan’s ears inexplicably turned red again.
Perhaps it was because Gu Zhizhou was too gentle, and no one could resist such a gentle embrace. When get out of class ended, Tao Ruan softened her heart again.
“that……”
“Um?”
“Didn’t you ask me to give you a minute to explain? I… you can speak now.”
Most of the students had left the classroom, leaving only a few scattered individuals still packing up their belongings. A warm spring breeze blew in, making Tao Ruan feel slightly tipsy, as if she were drunk.
At that moment, Gu Zhizhou leaned over and gently kissed her forehead.
Tao Ruan’s face turned bright red instantly, and her mind went completely blank.
“Tao Ruan,” Gu Zhizhou looked at her, his eyes gentle and earnest, “I like you, I want you, and I want to be with you.”
