It’s said that men who work hard are very attractive.

Now that a handsome guy working diligently was right in front of her, Tao Ruan suddenly understood the true meaning of those words.

Gu Zhizhou smiled again: “Did you eat or not?”

Tao Ruan whispered, “I ate it…”

Does this mean she’s admitting that she wasn’t looking at Gu Zhizhou because she was hungry?

Tao Ruan was extremely ashamed and indignant, but she couldn’t leave. She bit her lip and began to change the subject: “What is senior doing now?”

Gu Zhizhou answered as he worked: “These are the things for the defense.”

Tao Ruan then realized, “Senior is about to graduate, right?”

Gu Zhizhou: “Yes.”

Tao Ruan: “You must be very busy lately, right?”

Tao Ruan looked at the dark circles under Gu Zhizhou’s eyes and at his fidgeting fingers, and suddenly began to have doubts again.

Tao Ruan was thinking all sorts of things, but still said, “Then you go ahead and do your work, I won’t bother you anymore.”

So, even though she was supposed to treat Gu Zhizhou to dinner, it ended up being Gu Zhizhou treating her.

When she left, Tao Ruan was still very upset, regretting that she hadn’t snatched the bill from Gu Zhizhou.

Gu Zhizhou seemed to possess a magical power that made people unconsciously swayed by him when they were around him.

Tao Ruan suddenly realized that she had been led by the nose by Gu Zhizhou all morning.

“You seem unhappy?” Gu Zhizhou asked gently.

Tao Ruan shook her head: “No, it’s just that we agreed I’d treat you…”

“Why don’t you just invite them back next time?”

Tao Ruan looked blankly at him: “Next time?”

Gu Zhizhou looked at her rosy cheeks and smiled slightly: “Okay, next time.”

In the end, Tao Ruan was escorted back to her dormitory building by Gu Zhizhou.
